Never had any problems though I don't use them a lot but never liked the cable since it's for Iphone and I have android. Should either pack both cables or else offer packages clearly marked for which device it's for. It's really inconvenient to have to go on line and find and order another cable and the web site isn't really all the user friendly.

After 4 months of moderate use the right side no longer works and the company has been incredibly slow in replacing them even though it is covered under warranty. I'd reccomend audiotechnica or another brand to people looking for headphones.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Indestructible? Ha what a joke. These have been my best headphones I have ever purchased. The sound quality is superb and you can't get a better sound for the money. But these headphones gave me major problems. They lasted me just under two years before problems started to arise. It started with the cable, which I replaced, and then the right speaker just quit. I checked with a light that one of the two wires has disconnected from the 1.5mm jack housing. While the other wire is starting to split apart. I hate that these amazing headphones broke with only minor use and no abuse or mishandling. They never left my house and they never dropped once. How can these be "INDESTRUCTIBLE" when they can't even hold up to minor use. Even if it's only the headband that is advertised as indestructible, wouldn't the sound engines be attached to it?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Sound - Faulty Sound ENgine I received a pair of these as a gift about 11 months ago. The right side stopped working out of nowhere. I called customer support of 5 separate occasions...they did not have any replacement parts nor were they able to come down to a full resolution with me. They handled the situation terribly, worst customer service I have ever experienced. Wait between the 5 calls well over an hour and half not including talking time of about 20 minutes total so almost 2 hours wasted. Will not pay for headphones again from this company, switching to Audiotechnica.

Takes over 4 weeks to process a refund. Won't upgrade to next model to take care of poor stock and return policy. I have to buy other headphones because nothing I do would fix the problem in time. I recommend Audio Technica. Similar sound quality. MUCH cheaper.

Sadly, between using them on the go and as my studio monitors at home, I believe the jack got too worn somehow and my warranty had passed by 1 month before this issue arose.. I would like to see something like a lifetime warranty from SOL Republic. But.. That being said, if you get them they are worth $150.. until this (seemingly) semi-common issue occurs. I miss them and do not have the $150 to replace though. Would be nice to have just the sound engine for sale, as it (from memory) is cheaper..

I have gone through 3 different sound engines, and as of now 2 different cords since one just broke. Well joke is on me now since they are out of warranty. I don't use them excessively, nor do I throw them around. They still look amazing but are built like crap.

I would definitely recommend these to music lovers in need of some excellent sound quality headphones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Headphones (Durability Issues) I've had these for over two years and they are still in good condition, my main problem with these headphones is that one of my headphones cuts out when i move. This appears to be a fault that only i am experiencing looking at other reviews so don't let this put you off from buying these. My warranty is past so I don't think I can fix this without buying a new pair. But as i said these are very good headphones and you should buy them if you like punchy bass which doesn't drown out the treble sounds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality, Very Durable, and Sound Amazing I decided to write my review after owning the Master Tracks X3 for just over 2 years now. I've had no issues at all and they still sound incredible for gaming on my PC, Xbox One, Listening to music at work, and even traveling on road trips. I would not hesitate to buy another pair even with some customers having problems with a single ear piece failing. I have al of the different cables, one for iPhone, one for Android, and then the larger cable that have all been very durable. The only issue I've had with mine is that the ear pieces are starting to show wear. I would like it if Sol republic would offer replacement ear cushions for these. I would buy them and continue listening to these amazing headphones for another couple of years.

DESIGN FLAW CLEARLY. I SUBMITTED AN EMAIL TO THE COMPANY. I THEN STARTED READING THE REVIEWS. I AM NOW FEELING A BIT HOPELESS. ITS SUCH A SHAME THAT A POTENTIALLY GREAT PRODUCT IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Headphones [when they worked] - Horrible Customer {non}Relations Department I got these as a Father's Day give in June 2015. They sounded awesome; allowed me to listen to music & on-line class without disturbing my spouse (who gave them to me). I was in sonic bliss...for three months. Then, the left ear 'sound engine' began to drop out. I swapped the cord between sides and confirmed it was indeed a short inside that one sound engine. At first, a light tap got it to work. By November, it failed altogether. So, I filed a warranty repair claim with Sol Republic. After over eight weeks, no answer...zero, zilch, nada. I went on-line to see where the claim went and found out the company had been 'acquired' by HoMedics...who have an entirely different customer relations. The nice person with whom I eventually spoke explained that the acquisition required a new claim be filed, which she took over the phone. She promised a replacement sound engine would be shipped as soon as possible. That was mid-January. By March 4th, still nothing in hand, I called again. That agent explained that the sound engines were not going to be in stock, so my options were to either send in a receipt for a refund, or if I did not have a receipt, they would only give me a 20% off coupon for their website. I sent in the receipt and waited. A week later, I received an email that said, and I'm quoting directly: "We apologize for any misunderstanding, however we will have this item in the future and will not need to issue a Refund. We have placed a no charge order to have a new product sent to you. However, the item is currently on back order and we do not have an expected date as to when it will be in stock." I was absolutely amazed. It has now been over five months since the problem first started, and Sol Republic wants me to wait an unknown amount of time longer before they might have the item in stock. That is even more incongruent since the X3s are listed for sale on this website. I called again, and have now been told that they will send me a refund...in two to four weeks...hopefully. If not, feel free to call back and follow-up. So if you buy these, know that Sol Republic's warranty service is the ultimate antithesis of the outstanding sound quality of their product.

They have excellent sound quality, great sound cancelling, and are very attractive and comfortable. Unfortunately, one of the speakers stopped working. I did not want to have to buy a whole new set, so I contacted the support team at Sol Republic asking for help. I did not even receive a response to my email. I thought maybe I messed up and accidentally sent it to the wrong email, so I sent it again. Again, no response. At this point I was getting pretty ticked off. I decided to give them one last chance (3 months after original email), but again I did not even receive a reply. After three attempts at getting some help, I was fed up, and was left no choice but to leave this review. I wish Sol Republic's customer service was as good as their headphones, because otherwise, this would be a 5 star review.

AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS THE CABLE, WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT CAN HAPPEN. I JUST SWITCHED THE CABLE WITH MY FRIENDS CABLE AND IT TURNS OUT THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM. I TRIED CONTACTING SOL REPUBLIC ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO AND STILL NO REPLY. EVEN THOUGH I LOVED THEM AT FIRST, I WILL NOT REPURCHASE.

But I just can't get over that right ear not working anymore. I had them for about 3 months and it's not like I had the volume all the way up.

I wouldn't buy master tracks ever again, very expensive to crap out within a year. The second pair never left the house just used with my computer.

Is the issue with the drivers fixed bad reviews I’m not spending money on gear that breaks in a year to many BAD Very BaD reviews on your product breaking

One driver went out on my headphones after a year (naturally, just outside the warranty) after very gentle use. So my experience with this product is unfortunately similar to many others. I have inquired, but hear that the company is not willing to make any restitution. Very disappointed, as these were not inexpensive headphones. Bad business practice not to stand behind your product when there is obviously an issue with it.

Hi, Can you please tell me if these use real leather or synthetic leather? I've seen the question asked around a lot but people are giving different answers.

None of our headphones use leather or any animal products. The ear cushions on our Tracks headphones are foam, coated with something similar to latex. (I don't have detailed information on the exact material makeup)
